Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement
• Maintain 6:1 patient ratio on a 46-bed medical/surgical unit
• Float to 3 South (post-surgical med/surg) or PCU for telemetry overflow as needed
• Minimum two years med/surg experience required
• Must have telemetry experience and post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention experience
• Preferred advanced skills include chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, and blood transfusions
• Perform telemetry monitoring and paracentesis procedures
• Work with equipment including GE Apex Pro Telemetry box, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, Baxter IV pumps, iMobile, Alaris PCA IV pump, Welch Allen Vitals machine, and Glucometer
• Use Meditech Expanse documentation system
• Required skills include general med/surg skills, EKG interpretation, CPap management, and port access
• Required certifications: Active nursing license in good standing (with compact if indicated), BLS required, ACLS preferred, current NIH (must be certified annually)
• Dress code: Navy blue or gray scrubs with any color or patterned scrub jacket allowed; no royal blue scrubs permitted
• Work alongside Clinical Nurse Coordinators, RNs, LPNs, PCTs, Nurse Externs, and Unit Clerks
