Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Ainsworth, NE

You will work as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Brown County Hospital in Ainsworth, Nebraska, in a mixed inpatient/outpatient setting with a heavy focus on outpatient care. This is an 89-day travel position with a 4x10 flex schedule, starting August 17, 2026.

Your Responsibilities

• Treat a wide variety of outpatient cases, including post-surgical patients, geriatric patients, balance disorders, back pain, high school athletes, vestibular conditions, and wound care
• Cover skilled nursing facility (SNF) patients as needed
• Assist in treating neck and back pain, sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, auto accident injuries, balance and walking problems, generalized and specific weakness, work injuries, urinary incontinence, and joint problems
• Support lower extremity biomechanical evaluations and custom orthotic fitting
• Assist with pain reduction and functional mobility techniques including kinesio-taping and ASTYM
• Support Functional Dry Needling for muscle injuries and chronic pain treatment
• Assist with LSVT BIG for rehabilitation of Parkinson's disease patients

Schedule and Expectations

One-hour time blocks are standard for outpatient patients, and 45-minute blocks for inpatient patients. Productivity expectations are 65–75%, though this is not strictly required.

Requirements

• Active Nebraska PTA license or compact state license
• Active BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• New graduates will be considered
