Opportunity:

RN - ED Hold

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• Must work 2 of 4 major holidays rotating with permanent staff
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Navy scrubs required
• 2 shifts of orientation to Med/Surg/Tele at primary campus
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start through UNA (2 max attempts)
• Pass/fail simulation lab on day one of orientation
• Must have strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years
• Must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physician orders and parameters
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips
• Required to titrate drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
• Care for ED hold patients waiting for placement on units, primarily MS/Tele
• May assist with ED patients including vitals, IV starts, and medication administration
• Will not be assigned as primary RN for ED patients
• Float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and other ED locations as needed
• No call requirements
• Charting system: Cerner
• BSN not required
