Job Details:

• Execute specialized therapy plans designed by the OT, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities to improve motor skills and coordination
• Teach patients how to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and eating, often using adaptive techniques
• Instruct patients and families on how to use special tools like reachers, mobility aids, or modified kitchen utensils
• Monitor and document detailed notes on patient progress, behavioral changes, and safety concerns
• Report findings to the supervising OT to adjust treatment plans as needed
• Provide emotional encouragement to patients and train caregivers on how to assist with home programs
• Prepare treatment areas and clean equipment
• Handle administrative duties like scheduling and billing
• 2 years OTA experience in LTC setting required
• Texas or compact license required
• DOR experience preferred
• No on-call responsibilities
• No weekend requirements
