OR RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

You will provide nursing care in a specialized ophthalmology surgical setting at Dean McGee Eye Institute within Oklahoma Health Center. Working on a 4x10 days schedule, you'll earn $2,516 weekly for an 89-day assignment beginning April 13, 2026.

Your responsibilities include:

• Conduct preoperative patient interviews and comprehensive assessments
• Recover Phase 1 PACU patients, manage airways, and address pain or nausea
• Demonstrate excellent IV skills and ability to instill prescribed pupil-dilating drops
• Monitor physiological data and administer medications as prescribed
• Manage IV infusions and blood products
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments
• Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Interact with families regarding care plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain performance in a fast-paced work environment with strong teamwork

You will care for patients ranging from 6 months to 95 years of age. Familiarity with surgical eye cases—including cataracts, cornea, retina, glaucoma, and plastics—is strongly preferred.

Required qualifications:

• Current RN License issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Preoperative/PACU experience strongly preferred
