Pharmacist Outpatient Job in Fredericksburg, VA

You will work as a Pharmacist in the outpatient infusion center at Mary Washington Hospital, supporting patients across multiple therapeutic areas including oncology, gastrointestinal, hematologic, immunologic, neurologic, and rheumatologic conditions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing intravenous medications using sterile technique, including chemotherapy, IV piggyback, and IV push formulations
• Packaging antineoplastic agents and handling both hazardous and non-hazardous medications
• Managing pharmacotherapy for complex patient populations
• Working independently within the outpatient setting
• Utilizing Epic charting system and Pyxis medication dispensing equipment

Schedule and expectations:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with some shifts starting at 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required, though the clinic is typically closed on weekends and holidays
• No on-call responsibilities

Required qualifications:

• Current RPh license in Virginia
• Chemo/Hazardous Drug certification
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience: infusion center experience or inpatient experience with an oncology background

Preferred qualifications:

• Epic charting system experience
• Pyxis skills

You will complete up to 8 hours of non-billable training modules within your first week. First-time travelers and local candidates are welcome and receive the same compensation package.
