EEG Technician

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with every other weekend required
• EMU experience preferred
• Registered EEG Technologist certification required
• Minimum one year of EEG experience required
• BLS/CPR certification required
• Advanced computer, communication, and critical thinking skills required
• Perform routine EEGs in accordance with established ASET guidelines on patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Enter raw data and prepare data for physician review
• Measure and apply electrodes for adult and pediatric patients
• Perform descriptive analysis of EEG waveforms and patterns observed
• Provide appropriate patient and family interaction
• Edit 24-hour data
• Maintain equipment, stock acquisition stations, report malfunctions, and record in equipment log book
• Follow existing hospital and department policies and procedures
