Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse for its Observation Unit in Louisville, KY. This is a travel nursing position running 89 days, with a start date of June 29, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Shift: 3x12 nights
  • Weekly pay: $2,196.47

Your Role

You will deliver patient-centered nursing care in a telemetry environment, performing comprehensive assessments aligned with RN scope of practice and hospital policy. You will collect both objective and subjective patient data, identify risk factors, and develop prioritized problem lists in collaboration with the interprofessional team.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing culturally appropriate care interventions based on patient age, developmental level, and individual needs
  • Establishing desired outcomes in coordination with patients and families
  • Explaining procedures, treatments, and care processes clearly to patients and their support systems
  • Monitoring patient condition continuously, recognizing changes, and communicating them appropriately
  • Documenting assessments and responses to therapies in accordance with hospital standards
  • Delegating tasks appropriately and overseeing team members in patient care activities
  • Assessing patient educational needs and providing instruction at the appropriate comprehension level
  • Coordinating and executing the discharge process, including discharge teaching and planning with Case Management
  • Contributing to unit-based activities that support organizational values and patient safety
  • Participating actively in quality improvement initiatives and core measures

You hold a current RN license and practice nursing with clinical autonomy within your scope. You bring evidence-based practice knowledge, stay current with clinical research, and demonstrate nursing excellence. You work well within a collaborative team structure and are committed to continuous quality improvement.
