ED RN Job in Tucson, AZ

You will serve as an RN in the Emergency Department at BUMC Tucson, located at 1625 N Campbell Ave. This is a 3x12 night shift position with a 89-day duration, starting July 20, 2026. You will earn $2,446.20 per week.

Your role involves floating between two emergency departments: the Tucson Campus Level I Trauma Center and the South Campus Level III facility. You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for emergency patients. Your responsibilities include providing direct patient care, coordinating and delegating healthcare team activities, and formulating comprehensive care plans with discharge planning components. You will document all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records and interact regularly with physicians, patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years recent ED RN experience
• Prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current, valid RN license in your state of practice
• Required certifications: PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, BLS
• Experience in a 500+ bed hospital preferred

The work environment requires you to lift up to 75 pounds and respond quickly to unexpected patient care needs. You will work in a direct patient care setting with potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids. You must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to emergency department practice and be prepared for a varied work schedule that may include immediate coverage needs.
