RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• 4x10 shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with variations as shifts continue until procedures are complete
• 1:1 patient ratio
• On-call required: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month and one call shift per weekday every week; call requirements may change based on staffing needs
• Weekend coverage required per call schedule
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift
• No floating between service lines or sister facilities
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• EP/Cath Lab experience required
• SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
• Charting system: Epic
• Community hospital experience required
• Hospital-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Average daily census of 20 cases across 5 rooms
• Performs peripheral and coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology (EP) lab procedures, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterizations, interventional catheterizations, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Special equipment includes Impella, balloon pump, Angiojet, and Shock Wave
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Block schedule available with manager approval dependent on unit needs
