RN - CVOR Scrub and Circulate

Job Details:

• Work 13-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend schedule rotated based on departmental need
• On-call required with 1-2 call shifts per week, including 1-2 weekends per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required: 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) and 1 winter holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas) per department need
• Any time off requested must be added to the end of contract for a full 13 working weeks
• Must be able to both scrub and circulate, with primary focus on scrubbing
• 3 to 5 years of recent scrub and circulating nurse experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required
• Cases include, but are not limited to: Coronary Artery Bypass (primary and redo's), aortic aneurysms, AVR's and MVR's (primary and redo's), TAVR's, ECMO, and VAD's
• Adult experience required; pediatric experience is a plus
• Must have the ability to multitask and apply critical thinking skills
• Participation in numerous ongoing research protocols
• Floating within scope as needed
• Overtime may be required
• Epic access required
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team player required
• Participation in professional activities of the department expected

• Required certifications: BLS (AHA required), CNOR preferred
