About this role

You will provide technical support in the Interventional Radiology Lab at Sutter Health CPMC Van Ness Campus, working alongside cardiologists, radiologists, and registered nurses to deliver safe, precise interventional procedures.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assist with a wide range of interventional radiology and cardiology procedures under physician supervision
  • Perform technical analysis and setup for interventional cases
  • Assess patients and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Support procedures across all age groups including infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring patient privacy and safety
  • Mentor and train students as assigned
  • Respond to rotating on-call duties as needed

Schedule and Duration

You will work 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with start times between 0700–0900. No weekend requirement; on-call rotations apply as needed. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 10, 2026.

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Minimum 1 year as an IR Tech (2 years preferred)
  • Travel healthcare experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS (AHA) certification
  • ARRT (R) certification with California radiology technologist license, or RCIS certification
  • Valid Fluoroscopy permit

Required Technical Skills

You will perform or support angioplasty, carotid angiography, carotid stenting, catheter and drain exchanges, central venous access and port placement, chest tube placement, dialysis graft interventions, embolization, endovascular interventions, fluoroscopy, gastrostomy tube placement, IVC filter placement, liver biopsy, nephrostomy, paracentesis, stent placement, thoracentesis, thrombolysis and thrombectomy, TIPS, ultrasound, upper and lower extremity angiography, and vertebroplasty.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $3,615.84.
