Mammography Technologist Job in Philadelphia, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a 90-day travel assignment at Temple Health - Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. This is a full-time position working 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts on the day schedule.

About the Role

You will administer ionizing radiation while performing screening and diagnostic mammograms according to established protocols. Your responsibilities include demonstrating a thorough understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology as they relate to imaging procedures. You will maintain a high degree of accuracy in breast positioning, exposure techniques, and evaluation of imaging parameters to optimize patient imaging and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation for screening and diagnostic mammograms following institutional protocols
• Apply knowledge of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and related medical terminology
• Ensure accurate positioning, exposure techniques, and evaluation of imaging parameters
• Adhere to radiation protection and safety standards throughout all procedures
• Integrate technical skills with patient interaction to obtain viable diagnostic information as ordered by the physician
• Use independent professional judgment and critical thinking in obtaining diagnostic information
• Seek direction from MQSA-qualified interpreting physicians when needed
• Demonstrate sensitivity to patients' physical, cultural, and emotional needs through effective communication
• Participate in quality improvement processes and assess your own professional performance
• Maintain knowledge of quality control and quality assurance requirements for mammography
• Comprehend relevant state and federal regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Relevant mammography experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Registered Technologist (R) or Registered Technologist (R)(M) certification

Assignment Details

Weekly pay: $3,168. Start date: June 22, 2026. Duration: 90 days.
