SLP Job in Houston, TX

You will provide speech-language pathology services in the NICU at Woman's Hospital of Texas, evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, and swallowing impairments. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for 13 weeks beginning April 6, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities of patients with impairments resulting from premature birth, birth injuries, disease, or other causes
• Synthesize patient data to establish evidence-based interventions and care plans appropriate to each patient's age and developmental level
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to implement and assess intervention programs
• Float between NICU, Pediatric, and Adult units as needed
• Manage caseload-dependent patient ratios
• Document and manage patient information using Meditech Magic/Meditech Expanse EMR systems

Required Qualifications:

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
• Current Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology
• Neonatal experience required
• Modified Barium Swallow Study experience required
• Pediatric and adult experience preferred

Position Details:

• No weekends or on-call responsibilities
• Dress code: Dark blue scrubs, bare below the elbows in NICU
• Weekly pay: $2,044
• Degree level: Therapy
