PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• No mandatory on-call requirements, though voluntary call is available if desired
• No weekend shifts required
• 2+ years of RN experience required
• Pre/Post Op experience required
• Phase II experience required
• PACU experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Candidates must reside outside of a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Assess and implement care for ambulatory surgery patients based on operative procedures knowledge
• Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services per physician authorized plan of care
• Provide direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms
• Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with team members to update or revise care plans
• Process physician and provider orders accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
• Follow up regarding medication changes and order clarifications
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Active Michigan nursing license required with LARA and/or Nursys verification
• Current skills checklist pertinent to Ambulatory specialty (within 1 year) required
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
