Sterile Processing Technician Job in Washington, DC

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a 91-day travel assignment at Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. You will work 5x8 hour evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, including rotating weekends and holidays as needed.

Requirements:

• IAHCSMM/HSPA Certification
• Minimum 2 years of SPT experience
• Demonstrated expertise in decontamination and disinfection, case cart operations, instrument organization and tray placement, preference cards, proper labeling, wrapping materials selection, sterilization wrapping procedures, sets and trays assembly, equipment documentation, and Sterile Processing Microsystem (SPM)
• Specialty equipment processing experience across multiple departments including Bariatric, Cardiac, Dental, Ear/Nose/Throat, General, Laparoscopic, Neurology, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Plastics, Podiatry, Robotics, Transplant, Urology, and Vascular
• At least 1 prior travel assignment
• Two supervisor references
• Acute care hospital OR experience preferred

Preferred Skills:

• Aseptic technique
• Cleaning equipment including crash carts, IV pumps, and PCA pumps
• Endoscope processing
• Scope and probe reprocessing
• Flexible endoscope reprocessing

You must complete facility-specific modules within one week of signing your contract. This assignment begins May 11, 2026, and offers weekly pay of $1,313.28. You will proceed without a manager interview.
