Med Surg RN Job in Atlantic, IA

Cass County Memorial Hospital is seeking an RN for its Medical-Surgical department on the night shift. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 10, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,759.40.

Your Role

You will provide direct patient care in a dynamic environment that blends obstetric and medical-surgical nursing. Your responsibilities include:

• Delivering comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients, including labor and delivery, postpartum, and recovery services
• Transitioning to the medical-surgical floor when obstetric census is low
• Supporting patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery processes
• Managing medical-surgical patients with the same clinical proficiency and attention to care quality
• Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams across both units

What We're Looking For

You are a licensed RN comfortable with flexibility and skilled at moving between different patient populations. You have strong clinical foundations in both obstetric and medical-surgical nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing assignments within your shift. Night shift experience is a plus.

Assignment Details

This is a nights-only position at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa. The assignment runs for 91 days, ideal for travel nurses seeking a defined commitment in a rural healthcare setting.
