ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Every other weekend requirement
• Expect to work some holidays on a rotating schedule between Team A and Team B
• 8 hours of orientation required
• 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Charting system experience required - Meditech
• Community hospital experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Additional certifications preferred: CPI, MAB, NIHSS, OCN, PALS, TNCC
• Non-AHA certifications accepted; Instructor, Provider, and RQI accepted
• Must demonstrate skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Medical Intensive Care Unit experience required
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• 5-bed ICU unit with a daily census of 3
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, phlebotomy, and interpretation services
• Floating may be required in rotation with staff and in accordance with facility floating policies
• Candidates must complete a medication and EKG exam with a passing score of 85% within 72 hours of contract confirmation
