ICU RN Job in Joplin, MO

You will work as an RN in a 24-bed Intensive Care Unit at Mercy Hospital Joplin, a Level II trauma center with certified STEMI and stroke capabilities. This is a night shift position on a 3x12 hour schedule, working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 36 guaranteed weekly hours.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct care to medical, surgical, trauma, and stroke patients
• Managing patient ratios typically 1:2, with variations between 1:1 and 1:3 based on acuity and staffing
• Titrating complex IV drips including vasopressors
• Operating ICU equipment: IV pumps, chest tubes, GE monitoring systems, Arctic Sun, glucometers, and feeding pumps
• Floating to areas within your clinical competence as needed
• Responding to standby on-call requirements with a 1-hour report time for low census situations
• Working weekend hours as required by the facility

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS certifications
• TNCC certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred

The facility uses EPIC for its electronic medical record system. Black scrubs are required; t-shirts or unapproved sweatshirts are not acceptable per facility dress code policy.

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 24, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,971. You will work in a complex, high-acuity environment caring for very sick patients who require sophisticated clinical skills and judgment.
