ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• Standby on-call requirements with 1 hour to report for low census
• Float to areas of clinical competence as needed
• Patient ratios typically 1:2, may vary between 1:1 or 1:3 depending on patient acuity and available staffing
• Care for medical, surgical, trauma, and stroke patients in a 24-bed ICU
• Must be able to titrate complex IV drips including vasopressors
• Must be capable of caring for very complex patients in a Level II trauma, certified STEMI, and stroke center environment
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a high acuity ICU required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certification: NIHSS
• Equipment used includes IV pumps, chest tubes, GE monitoring, Arctic Sun, glucometers, and feeding pumps
• EMR system: EPIC
• Dress code: Black scrubs required; t-shirts or sweatshirts not approved by facility are not acceptable
