PACU Nurse Job in Sitka, Alaska

Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka, Alaska is seeking a registered nurse for a PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) circulator position. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 26, 2026, with 10-hour shifts at a weekly rate of $2,093.

About the Role

You will work as an OR circulator handling all types of elective and emergency surgical cases, including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic, orthopedic, vascular, and obstetric/gynecologic procedures. You will multi-task efficiently to keep surgical cases moving throughout the day and utilize after-hour call services to staff the operating rooms for nights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska required at time of submission
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN or ADN)
• Minimum 3 years of OR circulator experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience in Critical Access Hospital and/or Rural Operating Rooms strongly preferred
