PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Night shift position on a Step Down Unit
• 3x12 schedule with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must have experience with titration of vasopressors (Levophed, Nicardipine, etc.), sedation medications, and insulin drips
• Must have experience with tracheostomy/ventilated patients, arterial lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes
• Must have been at the bedside within the last 6 months
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Scrub color: Navy
• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
• No on-call required
• Weekend requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation)
• Float to lower acuity floors as needed
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
• No local candidates accepted within 75-mile radius
• Orientation: 24 hours
