Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Work 1 weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per schedule
• Required to wear dark grey pewter scrubs
• 0-2 years clinical experience required with minimum 6 months critical care experience
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC-RRT, and RCP
• Administer aerosolized medications, bronchial hygiene, volume expansion, oxygen and medical gas therapy
• Perform ventilator management, weaning, wave form graphic interpretation, and airway management including intubation, extubation, and trach tube care
• Conduct arterial blood gas sampling and analysis
• Assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures, cardiac service procedures, and pulmonary diagnostic testing
• Provide patient assessment and collaborate with healthcare team members
• Educate patients and mentor new employees, students, and peers
• Maintain electronic orders, charting, and charging systems
• Must demonstrate strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and computer proficiency
• Primarily work in critical care areas with protocol ventilator management and independent decision-making
