CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Work schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week
• On-call requirement of 50% with every other weekend
• Float between X-ray and CT departments as required
• Review patient history and physician orders prior to procedures
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered
• Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate
• Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures
• Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures on equipment
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures
• Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results
• Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedures
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results
• Must have BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Must have ARRT certification in Radiology and CT
• Associate degree in radiologic technology required; completion of CT technology certificate program preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Radiology and CT required
