Respiratory Therapist Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health - Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for their pediatric respiratory and neuro diagnostics department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 11, 2026.

Shift and Schedule:

• 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks for guaranteed hours
• Block schedule accommodations possible with prior approval but not guaranteed

Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Pediatric, Neonate, and Infant experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• RRT certification mandatory
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• South Carolina RRT license must be in hand at time of start
• NBRC and SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) licenses accepted
• Epic experience preferred

Role Details:

• May float within scope depending on experience
• No floating required to sister facilities
• 72 hours of orientation provided; modules are non-billable, averaging 4 hours completed pre-start
• Epic charting system used throughout facility
• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
• During hurricane season (June–November), may be assigned to emergency response teams

Compensation:

Weekly pay: $2,203.20. All RTO must be included at time of submission.
