NICU RN Job in Pittsfield, MA

Berkshire Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for its Level 1B NICU/Continuing Care Nursery in Pittsfield, MA. This is a 91-day travel assignment working three 12-hour shifts per week at $2,592 weekly pay, starting August 24, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide specialized care for late preterm infants (35 weeks and beyond) and newborns with acute health issues in a 4-bed unit with a 3:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. You will work afternoons with every other weekend required and holidays as needed. There are no on-call responsibilities. The facility provides scrubs, and an 8-hour non-billable orientation is included.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum 2 years of current NICU experience at Level 1B or higher
• Experience with ESC (Eat, Sleep, Console) babies—infants exposed to opioids in utero
• Experience with TTN (Transient Tachypnea)—infants with mild breathing problems
• Experience with blood sugar stabilization
• Experience with infants requiring respiratory support and High Flow Nasal Cannula (NC)
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred

Required Credentials and Licenses

• Massachusetts RN license
• BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Current NICU skills checklist within 1 year
• One supervisory signed reference from employment within the past two years

Assignment Requirements

You must have your own vehicle and reside more than 50 miles from the facility. All scheduling requests and requested time off must be submitted at profile upload; requests submitted after offer may result in rescission. A maximum of 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. Block scheduling requests will not be considered.
