Pharmacist Inpatient Job in Bad Axe, MI

McLaren Thumb Region is seeking a Pharmacist for inpatient pharmacy services in Bad Axe, MI. This is a temporary position running 91 days, starting June 15, 2026, on a 4x10 day shift schedule. You will earn $2,736 weekly.

In this role, you will:

• Review and interpret electronic physician orders to confirm accurate drug choices, safe dosages, and proper administration routes
• Evaluate patient profiles for allergies, drug-drug interactions, and relevant lab results
• Perform pharmacokinetic dosing for high-risk medications
• Oversee or personally prepare specialized medications, including large-volume parenterals, intravenous (IV) piggybacks, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), and chemotherapy infusions under strict sterile guidelines (USP )
• Participate in medical rounds with physicians and nurses to recommend evidence-based therapies and assist in medical emergencies
• Conduct medication reconciliation during patient admission and provide comprehensive drug counseling to patients upon hospital discharge
• Manage, review, and delegate tasks to pharmacy technicians, interns, and students to maintain accurate inventory and cart distributions
• Work in the Anticoagulation Clinic, treating 4–6 patients per day
• Perform oncology compounding and all IV compounding as required

This position includes on-call responsibilities and weekend work. You must hold a Michigan pharmacy license and have at least 2 years of inpatient pharmacist experience.
