PCU RN Float Job in Santa Fe, NM

CHRISTUS St Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a full-time role working 3 shifts of 12 hours per week on the night schedule, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Position Overview

You will function as a float RN, supporting various units throughout the facility as needed. This role requires flexibility and strong clinical assessment skills as you adapt to different patient populations and care settings. There are no on-call requirements; your schedule is set at three 12-hour night shifts weekly with weekend availability expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establishing priorities based on individual patient needs
• Develop and implement individualized care plans within established timeframes
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on patient evaluations and modify care plans accordingly
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of each patient population served
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
• Delegate unit work assignments and coordinate team assignments
• Function as a clinical resource to visitors, physicians, and staff
• Use the EPIC electronic medical record system
• Maintain positive attendance and communicate any absences in advance

Requirements

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• Current BLS certification via AHA
• Current ACLS certification via AHA
• Additional certifications may be required based on units where you float

Compensation and Duration

This 91-day travel assignment begins July 6, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,900.80. You will work a full-time schedule with no on-call responsibilities, allowing for predictable time off between shifts.
