NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend availability required
• On-call required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• At least 1 completed travel assignment required - first-time travelers not accepted
• Previous charge experience required
• Must be able to work Level 1 well baby through Level 3 NICU with Mother Baby experience
• Patient ratios of 1-3 patients to 4 nurses
• Must be able to float to Well Baby and perform deliveries; float to Postpartum highly preferred
• Block scheduling accommodated when possible
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), NRP, STABLE
• Valid Kentucky RN license or Compact RN license required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Orientation held on Mondays with 36 orientation hours
• Skills required include but are not limited to: arterial line management, bubble CPAP, central line care, high frequency ventilation, neonatal dosage calculations, UAC/UVC management, ventilator management, and administration of blood products
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy
