Cath Lab Technologist Job in Bakersfield, CA

You will work as a Cath Lab Technologist in the cardiac catheterization lab at Memorial Hospital - Bakersfield. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting May 11, 2026, with 4x10 day shifts at $4,058.80 per week.

Your Role

You will support a high-volume 5-suite cardiac catheterization lab performing 10-22 cases daily. You will work alongside one other technologist, rotating between scrub and hemodynamic monitoring responsibilities. Your duties include managing conscious and moderate sedation, handling airway management, administering cardiac drips (Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressors), and operating balloon pumps.

Case Types

You will perform cardiac and coronary procedures, vascular interventions, peripheral vascular cases, general interventional radiology, and neuro intervention procedures. The facility receives STEMI cases and requires you to manage emergent cardiac presentations.

On-Call Requirements

• Weekly inpatient and emergent call rotation (1x per week)
• Weekend call requirement: 1 weekend per month, Friday evening through Monday morning
• Every other weekend requirement built into your 4x10 schedule

Required Qualifications

• Current cath lab experience required; no first-time travelers accepted
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• Fluoroscopy certification
• RCIS and CCT certifications will not be accepted

What You Need to Know

You will use the Cerner charting system. The agency provides your radiation badge. The hospital's cancellation policy allows up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. Comfort with procedural processes, airway management, and hemodynamic monitoring is essential for this role.
