ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:4 for night and weekend shifts
• General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience required
• Charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
• Charting system experience required; Meditech system utilized
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS
• Key skills required include blood product administration, central line care and management, phlebotomy, and starting and maintaining IVs
• Proficiency in trauma and med-surge skills including pediatric skills required
• Additional skills include management of dysrhythmias, interpretation of ABGs, triage, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, and IV vasopressors
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, and transportation
