ICU RN Job in Salt Lake City, UT

St. Marks Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift position in their 24-bed Intensive Care Unit. This is a 13-week travel assignment running 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, starting October 19, 2026. You will earn $1,884 per week.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU with a patient ratio of 1:2 (1:3 for PCU boarders, 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity cases)
• Manage patients requiring advanced interventions including mechanical ventilation, vasopressors, and arterial lines
• Perform and assist with procedures: rapid sequence intubations, central line placements, bronchoscopy, intubation, arterial line placement, and chest tube placement
• Coordinate with a team of 46 staff members across the unit
• Float to PCU or serve as a sitter in other hospital inpatient settings as needed
• Utilize EPIC documentation system

Scheduling & Requirements

• Scheduling includes straight nights or 50/50 rotation options
• 3 weekend shifts required within each 4-week period
• 1 CCT/US available during day shift when census exceeds 10 patients
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; strong 1-year experience may be considered
• Current ACLS certification required
• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue

Experience Needed

You should have demonstrated expertise with ventilators, vasopressors, restraint use, and arterial lines. Experience managing high-acuity patients including those on IABP, CRRT, and post-open heart surgery cases is essential. You work well as a team player and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
