OR RN Job in Marietta, GA

Kennestone Hospital is seeking an RN for its Operating Room. This is a 91-day contract position beginning June 9, 2026, offering day shifts in a general surgery setting.

Schedule and Shift Details

• Work days: 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, 3 days per week
• Monday through Friday schedule with possible weekend call shifts
• 30-minute call back rotation participation required

Role Responsibilities

• Serve as a proactive member of the interdisciplinary team, providing individualized patient care
• Perform the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care that adapts to cultural diversity
• Partner with patients and families through bedside shift reports and interdisciplinary rounds
• Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care
• Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments
• Participate in evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement initiatives
• Serve as a preceptor and mentor for other professional nurses and students

Requirements

• Current RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and PALS certifications
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
• Less than 1 year experience; direct patient care experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking abilities, and time management
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies decisively

Compensation

Weekly pay: $1,864.80
