Clinical Laboratory Scientist Job in Arcata, CA

Mad River Community Hospital is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a travel assignment in Arcata, California. You will work a 7 days on, 7 days off rotating schedule, providing night-shift laboratory services to support patient care.

Schedule and Compensation

• 7 on, 7 off rotation running Wednesday through Tuesday every other week
• Wednesday shift: 8-hour shift from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Thursday through Tuesday shifts: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Two-week pay period totaling 80 hours at $2,336 per week
• Assignment duration: 91 days beginning September 16, 2026

Position Requirements

• Current California CLS or MLS license required
• CLS Generalist position with blood bank experience
• TB clearance within the past 12 months required

Position Details

You will perform generalist laboratory work including blood bank operations using the Harvest LIS system. This role supports the hospital's night laboratory operations and requires proficiency across multiple testing areas. Your expertise in blood bank procedures will be essential to this assignment.
