Interventional Radiology RN Job in Baltimore, MD

Join MedStar Union Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology. This 91-day travel assignment offers you the opportunity to work in a specialized clinical environment with a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Work 4 nine-and-a-half hour shifts per week (36 hours total), Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with one rotating day off during the week
• Call required every 5th week; weekends and holidays on-call are voluntary
• Float between the UMH and GSH Interventional Radiology departments
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Perform or assist with procedures including angioplasty, central venous access and port placement, diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology lab procedures, and interventional radiology
• Apply appropriate isolation precautions and personal protective equipment
• Collaborate with IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams in a 3-room IR department

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology nursing experience
• Minimum 1 completed travel assignment prior to this assignment
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Compact license or Maryland (MD) state license
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
