ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 12-hour variable shifts with majority of shifts running 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM with occasional flexibility to 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• PM shifts may start at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• On-call requirement of 12 hours per 6-week period with a 30-minute response time and a 2-hour minimum callback
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Primary location in the Emergency Department
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Minimum 5 years of experience required with at least 1 year of travel experience - FIRM
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Work in an 18-bed, fast-paced Trauma Level II unit that is stroke certified with cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases
• 3 to 4 patients per nurse ratio
• RNs are responsible for drawing labs and performing nebulizer treatments
• Pyxis medication dispenser used on unit
• X-ray staff and respiratory therapy available on site in the ED
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change, work independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Any color scrubs accepted
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
