Med Surg RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the medical-surgical unit at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, caring for patients with medical, surgical, and neurological conditions. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 28, 2026.

About the Role

• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and neurological patients
• Monitor patient conditions and vital signs throughout your shift
• Administer medications as prescribed and document administration
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment
• Assist patients with education about their conditions and discharge planning
• Maintain a safe and clean patient environment

Schedule and Compensation

• 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week
• Work every other weekend
• Work every other holiday
• Weekly pay: $2,007.72

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current certifications as required by the facility and state
