Respiratory Therapist Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will work as a Respiratory Therapist on the night shift at Mercy Hospital St Louis, providing direct patient care in respiratory therapy across the facility. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3x12 night shift schedule
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• Weekend hours as needed
• $1,971 per week

Your Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physicians' orders
• Determine effectiveness of therapy and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Provide ventilator support during cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Maintain life support equipment in intensive care units and other designated areas
• Implement medical plans of care, clinical interventions, and procedures as needed for patient care
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills with flexibility and adaptability

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Graduate from an accredited college program in Respiratory Care
• Current Missouri state license
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) designation from the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Current BLS, ACLS, and CRT certifications
• Scrubs in black

Preferred Qualifications

• RRT-ACCS (Adult Critical Care Specialist) certification from the NBRC
• Bachelor's Degree
• Prior Adult Intensive Care and Emergency Department experience
