CVICU RN Job in Florence, SC

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 12-week travel assignment in the Cardiac Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at MUSC Health – Florence. This role is ideal for experienced RNs with cardiac and neuro expertise who are ready to deliver specialized care to post-cardiac surgery patients and complex cardiovascular cases.

Assignment Details:

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Start date: June 15, 2026
• Patient ratio: 1:2
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• Local radius restriction: 60 miles (local travelers not accepted)
• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks

Requirements:

• Current South Carolina license or Compact license (required prior to start)
• Minimum 1 year of direct CVICU experience (2 years preferred)
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic system experience
• Cardiac and neuro clinical background
• Royal blue scrubs required

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Manage post-cardiac surgery patients and complex cardiovascular cases
• Operate specialized equipment: chest tubes, IABP, Impella, CRRT, temporary pacers
• Float within scope as needed to support facility operations (agency staff float first)
• Availability required for emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)

Compensation & Logistics:

• Weekly pay: $1,944
• Holiday rotation required
• Approximately 4 hours of required pre-start modules (non-billable)
