ICU Nurse Job in Lafayette, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 56-week travel assignment in the Intensive Care Unit at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. This is a 3x12 day shift position with weekly pay of $2,044.80.

Role Overview

You will deliver direct patient care in a 50-bed ICU with a 1:2 patient ratio across all shifts. Your patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients, with an average daily census of 44 patients. The unit benefits from interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams.

Requirements

• Current Louisiana nursing license or compact license (required upon submission)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Current NIHSS certification
• NURSYS report with profile (must be within 4 weeks of submission date)
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC (Trauma Nurse Certification)
• Trauma Level I and II experience
• Epic charting system experience

Additional Details

• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Must be willing to participate in Emergency Team assignments during emergency events
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Scrub color: Royal blue
• Assignment begins May 11, 2026
