ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts with every third weekend required
• Maintain 1:2 patient ratios during all shifts
• 3 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• No on-call responsibilities
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: ACLS and BCLS (NIH preferred)
• Indiana state license must be in hand prior to start date
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating within hospital or to affiliate hospitals is 100% required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in Adult Surgical/Neuro/Trauma ICU setting
• Daily census ranges from 14-18 patients in 18-bed unit
• Experience required with ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, CVVHD/CRRT, and various critical care procedures
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Must have skills in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgery care
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
