OR RN Job in Florence, SC

McLeod Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Florence, SC. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning July 12, 2026, working three 12-hour day shifts per week.

Your Role

As an RN in the OR, you will provide direct patient care and surgical support across multiple service lines including General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Robotic Surgery, and more. Your responsibilities include:

• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate team member activities while executing interventions in urgent or emergent situations
• Complete Safe Surgery checklists according to service excellence standards
• Prep operating rooms for procedures and position patients on the operating table
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff within or outside the sterile field
• Perform circulating duties with efficiency and speed
• Serve as communication liaison between the operating team and patient family members
• Control and maintain supplies and equipment
• Document all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner
• Provide nursing interventions consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice

Schedule & Compensation

This position includes weekend and call responsibilities. You will earn $2,102.40 per week. The assignment runs for 90 days with flexibility to extend based on facility and staffing needs.
