ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 variable shifts ranging from 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, 7p-7a
• Every other weekend rotation required with no call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 4:1 on nights
• Float to other CPMC campuses for support when census permits within scope of practice
• Provide competent, compassionate patient care in accordance with evidence-based nursing practices
• Care for patients of all ages: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Handle emergency conditions including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory issues, and behavioral health
• Perform skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG interpretation, triage, and emergency medication administration
• Manage complex cases involving ventilated patients, central lines, arterial lines, and continuous IV sedation
• 72 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year ED RN experience required
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
