Interventional Radiology RN Job in Bakersfield, CA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology at Memorial Hospital - Bakersfield. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $3,369.60.

Schedule and Expectations

• 4x10 hour day shifts
• Every other weekend rotation required
• On-call rotation for weeknights and weekends
• First to float when needed

Your Role

You will assist the Interventional Radiologist with imaging invasive procedures including paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and drainage procedures. You will monitor sedation patients and assist with sedations, coordinate IR MD schedule, and communicate with floor RNs regarding patient care. You will work with imaging technicians regarding procedure setup and timing.

Your clinical responsibilities include placing peripheral IV lines, assisting with pacemaker procedures, and providing procedural support. You will handle 8–15 cases per day on average, working with both inpatient and outpatient populations. Pediatric patients are a possibility in this role.

Requirements and Skills

• Current RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience in Interventional Radiology preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR system
• Familiarity with MRI-safe pumps and EKG monitors
• Navy blue scrub color required

Onboarding

You will receive 3–4 shifts of department-specific orientation, all scheduled as day shifts. A BSN is not required for this position.
