Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - PICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM<br>• 13-week contract assignment with 3 shifts per week<br>• 4 weekend shifts per month (PM shift: Friday and Saturday)<br>• No call requirements<br>• Patient ratios: 1:2 PICU, 1:3 IMC (1:4 IMC with PCT), 1:5 Peds (1:6 Peds with PCT)<br>• Required certifications: RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS<br>• Pediatric experience required<br>• Pediatric ICU experience required<br>• Work with equipment including Hillrom Beds, GC monitors, ICU Medical plum 360 pumps and Med fusion syringe pumps<br>• Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech<br>• Dress code: Galaxy blue scrubs<br>• Perform procedures including lumbar punctures, intubations, chest tube placements, and conscious sedation<br>• Must be able to adapt to any situation and work as a team player<br>• Must be able to accept constructive criticism and grow professionally<br>• Care for patients ranging from appendicitis requiring surgery to critical patients with septic shock requiring vaso-active drips and mechanical ventilation</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This medical center features a unique pediatric intensive care unit located on the 7th floor of Building A, combining both pediatric and intensive care services in one specialized unit. The facility operates 19 beds total with 10 PICU beds and 9 pediatric beds, staffed by 27 healthcare professionals. The unit provides comprehensive pediatric care from routine surgical cases to critical care patients requiring advanced life support, making it a growing and distinctive unit that offers diverse clinical experiences for healthcare professionals.</p><p><strong>Location:</strong></p><p>El Paso, TX</p><p>El Paso offers a unique cultural experience at the intersection of Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico, providing rich cultural diversity and year-round sunshine.
