CVOR Technologist Surgical Tech Job in Redding, CA

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Surgical Tech with CVOR expertise for a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026. You will work 4x10 night shifts and earn $2,014.80 weekly.

Role Overview

As a CVOR Technologist, you will support cardiothoracic and vascular surgical cases in the operating room. You will maintain 1:1 patient ratios, report to the Clinical Supervisor under OR Director and OR Manager oversight, and complete one shift orientation with a preceptor before independent practice.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Support CVOR cases including CABG, valve procedures, pacers, lead extractions, and lung cases
• Assist with main OR cases in orthopedic, general/vascular, neuro/spine, ENT, and trauma procedures
• Work with all surgical case types except transplant
• Collaborate with ventilators, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy services available 24/7
• Use Cerner Surginet EMR system and Phillips telemetry

Schedule and On-Call

You will work 10-hour night shifts. Take call 1–2 weeknights per week and weekend call approximately once monthly from end of shift Friday through 6:30 AM Monday. Weekend requirements and holidays are covered by call schedule. The hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.

Requirements

• Allied Health Professional credential (Surgical Tech)
• Strong experience with total joints, general, vascular, and spine procedures
• BLS Certification required
• COVID vaccination required
