Respiratory Therapist Job in Columbus, GA

Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Campus is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment. You will provide respiratory care across a diverse patient population, from infants to geriatric patients, with a primary focus on adult care and pediatric intubated patients.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 3x12 Days
• Duration: 98 days
• Start Date: June 22, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $1,814.40

Role Responsibilities

• Manage non-invasive ventilation, conventional ventilation, and aerosol therapy
• Perform bedside pulmonary function tests and spirometry testing
• Conduct arterial blood gases, capillary blood gases, and arterial line placement
• Provide oxygen management and patient education
• Draw from lines and operate respiratory equipment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Active Georgia RRT License
• Trauma experience required
• Pulmonary function testing (spirometry) preferred

Facility Information

You will work within Epic, Pyxis, and respiratory equipment systems including SBAR, Viasys Vela, GE Carescape, and Viasys Avea. Floating is required within the Midtown Campus and to sister facility Piedmont Columbus Northside.

Assignment Requirements

• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday work required based on holidays during assignment period
• 48 hours of orientation provided
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed per contract
• Dress code: Slate Gray scrubs
