Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No on-call requirements
• Telemetry department assignment with possible float to Intensive Care Units, medical surgical units, and other departments up to competency level
• Patient population includes CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and open heart surgery patients downgraded from ICU
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
• Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients including families and caregivers
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts; may be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips prior to assignment
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
