RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required with no on-call requirements
• ED Hold position with floating to Med Surg/Telemetry when not utilized in ED holding
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for all shifts
• 2 hours of orientation required
• Must be willing to float to other locations if census is low on home unit
• Provide care for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in a 36-bed unit with 32 rooms handling approximately 120 visits per day
• Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion and maintenance, Foley catheter insertion, wound dressings, and phlebotomy
• Monitor telemetry, manage ventilated patients, and administer medications safely
• Document assessments accurately and provide patient and family education
• Demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based practice, pathophysiology, and pharmacological implications
• Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Travel experience required with 50-mile travel requirement
• Must provide 7-year work history verification
• Complete e-learning modules during orientation (1-5 hours average)
