About this role

St Lukes Meridian Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 8, 2026. You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) on a self-scheduling model, earning $2,365.20 weekly.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver 25–28 respiratory treatments per 8-hour shift across all patient populations: adults, pediatrics, NICU Level IIB, and geriatrics
  • Float across ICU, MICU, Medical-Surgical Telemetry, ER, inpatient floors, and PACU
  • Perform ABGs (radial or brachial draws), manage all respiratory equipment, and assist with intubations under supervision
  • Initiate and manage CPAP, V60s, Vapotherm, and EPOC therapies
  • Conduct overnight oximetry monitoring and PACU treatments
  • Operate Drager V500, Hamilton, and ReVel ventilators

Requirements

  • RRT credential (CRT not accepted)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
  • Minimum 2 years respiratory therapy experience
  • Comfort floating between all specialties including NICU delivery support
  • Stable certification required

Schedule & Logistics

  • Every other weekend coverage (Friday and Saturday nights)
  • May rotate between shifts or trade with staff at management request
  • Potential mid-shift floats with 60 minutes' notice
  • Optional call availability (30-minute response)
  • Orientation: 1–2 shifts with preceptor (typically one NICU/General day, one ICU day)
  • May float to sister facilities in Nampa (14 miles west) and Boise (10 miles east)
  • Client may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

Additional Details

You'll use EPIC for charting and wear any color scrubs (clean and professional). Holiday rotation eligibility may apply. This role offers exposure to multiple ICU settings and patient acuities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
