Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job in Hilo, HI

You will work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Hilo Medical Center in Hilo, Hawaii. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning April 20, 2026, with 5x8 day shifts scheduled for 40 hours per week after your first week of orientation.

What You'll Do

• Perform radiopharmaceutical preparation and camera quality control
• Conduct general nuclear medicine imaging procedures
• Provide EKG preparation and monitoring for cardiac examinations
• Receive and document radioactive shipments
• Complete NRC-required daily and weekly quality control procedures
• Float to other units and departments based on competency and licensure

Equipment and Technology

You will work with SIEMENS Dual Headed ECAM with ESOFT Processing, CAPTUS 3000 NMIS, and GE MAC 5000 equipment.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• ARRT or CNMT certification in Nuclear Medicine
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Hawaii state license required by start of assignment

Compensation and Schedule

You will earn $3,066 per week. Day shifts run 8 hours, five days per week.

Important Details

You must arrive on Thursday before your official start date for a mandatory employee health appointment on Friday. Dress code includes scrubs, street clothes, and a lab coat.
